  SO, THIS IS HOW IT CAME TO BE.

                    THE CANNABUS...WHY I'M HERE.
 
     One damp and drizzly morning, I looked out of the window of my caravan to see the old bill, in full wellies, clumping up the muddy track..I didn't think it was about a parking ticket, that's for sure.
Bear in mind that I was, in fact, living on my own, half a mile from the nearest human contact...and that was only a farm !  OVER 100 PLANTS - (101).   PERSONAL 

Anyway, the inevitable happens..so...hey-ho, off we go again.
I decided to sort out my own legal defence, this time..screw those buggers !
That was Oct 17th 2006.

July 6th 2007 was Crown Court..it was also my friend's wedding that I was meant to attend.
So, I missed the 'blissfful unionisation'..but ended up with 12 months prison, suspended for 18 months...

July 17th 2007 - 11 days later - there was the familiar 'excuse me, can we come in please' that the old bill specialise in...

OVER 100 PLANTS - (148).  PERSONAL.
Coincidentally, the couple whose wedding I had missed - (hence, ''The Wedding Bust') - were visiting for the first time since the 'big day'..my mate had a broken foot and broken nose and was recovering from a heart-attack !...hell of a wedding reception I missed.
Neither were smoking [cannabis or tobacco] or drinking [alcohol or coffee] anything at the time...there were searched and dismissed - they thought the plastercast was fake ! - and I was handcuffed, even though there was no need to.   Not good.   We could have a bit of a problem here....

Get bail..
...hmm. interesting...
So begins the final defence....

Dec 19th 2007 - The ''Christmas Bust''...Oh shit...another ''melody on my door''....mind you, at least I still HAD a front door ! You must admit - that's progress !
Here we go again...hey guess what...NO HANDCUFFS this time...
...On my own, in my own home, minding my own business..responsible adult...     ....?  Something well wrong here..  OVER 100 PLANTS - (104).   PERSONAL.

Get bail...

(March2008 - hearing postponed.)
June 2008 - hearing postponed.)

Sept 4th 2008 -  Convicted of cultivation, possession and consumption of cannabis for personal reasons. Sentencing in three weeks..Probation report recommends custodial sentence...prison to you and me..what do expect from shit-heads..?

Thank you Nicola darling, for suggesting that I should go to prison for minding my own business..!!!!

Sept 24th -  Anyway the Judge decides that another report is necessary.
Sentencing deferred (postponed) for 6 nonths.....however there is still a possibility of a custodial...

It would seem that as I am no threat, nor am I a perceived threat to the Public, it makes it awfully difficult to send someone with those credentials to prison.

March 24th. 2009 - Another probation report...
The Judge comes out the statement to blow my mind...'' You have committed a crime against yourself ''
....and gives me 150 hours 'Community Payback' ...(but I should be paying myself back, surely ?)
....and another year in prison suspended for a year...

Oct.5th.2009. Royal Court of Appeal, London - if it isn't postponed.
Application for 'Leave to Appeal against Conviction'...
The basic contention being, 'why the necessity to prosecute for one harmful substance and not another?'
And how come the 'victim' is having to appeal against conviction. The whole thing is totally absurd.

See how it goes...

In the meantime the Cannabus is going to happen..

Oct. 5th has come and gone and I await the outcome..
You will know as soon as I do. 

As expected, the application to appeal against conviction was REFUSED. What a surprise. Amazing..
Anyway, that one doesn't really matter. (Don't get me wrong, it would have nice to have got it.) It's the sentencing one that really counts.
Sentenced for, ''committing a crime against myself''...that's a cracker !
